The design for Spider-Carnage was incredible, wrapping the red symbiote tendrils around Reilly's first new Spider-Man suit. Ben Reilly experienced this firsthand when he saved John Jameson from the Carnage symbiote, only to bond with it himself, becoming Spider-Carnage. Carnage is even deadlier and more corruptive than the Venom symbiote. The Carnage symbiote has taken many hosts since it was first introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #361 (by David Michelinie, Mark Bagley, Randy Emberlin, Bob Sharen, and Ken Lopez). While he originally appeared in the Ultimate Universe of Earth-1610, Miles Morales has since made the jump to the 616 mainstream reality. The daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane, she had spider powers like her father and much like him, decided to become a superhero. First appearing in What If., fans loved May "Mayday" Parker. Spider-Girl flipped the script on readers. He became a hero again after the Celestials affair, but he wasn't exactly as strong as he used to be. He was more experienced, but all the years had added up for him. The Earth-616 universe, the main Marvel comic book continuity, houses some of the strongest Spider-Man variants as well. However, fans don't have to read Spider-Verse or Spider-Geddon to find powerful versions of the wall-crawler. The multiverse within Marvel Comics is vast and includes many interesting and extremely powerful variants of Spider-Man. While Spider-Man's power set is amazing, Peter, in one universe or another, has accessed powers that allow him to do much more than a spider can do. His proportional strength and speed of a spider, not to mention his incredibly useful spider-sense, place him in the top tier of Earth's heroes. Thanks to a radioactive spider bite, Peter Parker can do everything a spider can.
